Do you have a spiritual mother? Is it a woman of God, who you are related to, or a woman of God who is a friend to you?
For me, one of my spiritual mothers is a grandmother-figure in my life. She attends my church and we both met at a social gathering at our church a few years ago.
I help my spiritual mother in any way that I can help her because of circumstances surrounding her health. Yesterday, I helped her to run errands and took her to the grocery store. The both of us even got our nails done yesterday. It gladdens my heart that God would allow for us to spend quality time together and to even share about how the Lord is working in our lives.
~”The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.” ~Luke 6:45, ESV~
I remember when I shared with my spiritual mother how our witness in Christ can either glorify God or defeat our witness in the Lord. I explained to my spiritual mother that the way and speech of which a child of God chooses to communicate can either speak life or death in a child of God’s life. My spiritual mother, who is very sound in heart and mind, agreed with me and complimented me that my witness in Christ is powerful because of the words that I choose to communicate to her and others around me. The words that I speak come out of an overflow from the heart of God and into my soul to others to testify of God’s love.
I may not be doing any thing for Mother’s Day. I may not be spending time with any spiritual mothers who I know this year. But, I bless all of the spiritual mothers, who I know, that are connected to me and who receive me, just as the Lord God would receive me, as His daughter.
I pray that the words that you choose to speak and to communicate with Godly women in your life would bless and make a divine impact on the multitudes of Godly women as well, who you come into contact with in the present and beyond. I pray that the words that you speak shall speak life into the lives of the Godly women, who are in your lives. I pray that you be a blessing to all spiritual mothers in your life today.
Do not forget to share the love of God today with a special spiritual mother, who you know, today. Make an impact through the hands of Jesus. Whether it be through going to a church service or singing songs of praise to the Lord together, do not forget to share the love of God to your spiritual mother today. God bless you!
