Prayer for Unity (This 2020 Election Season)

    Dear God,

I thank You that You gave Christians in this country the right to vote. That is a privilege that Christian Americans should not take for granted and I thank You that You humbled America so that she could get this privilege to vote.

I also thank You for the Democratic party and I thank You for the Republican Party. I want to lift up both of the candidates for the 2020 Election, Joe Biden and Donald Trump. I thank You that You put the both of them in the Presidential campaign and that You chose them, for a reason and for a purpose. May Your hand of protection be upon the both of them as You decide who gets to be in the White House once this election is finished. The election is not decided until You say, “It is finished!”

I pray for unity with the Democrats and the Republicans of this nation and that You will open up their hearts and their minds to see that even though we have an election that You deserve all of the glory because Your Son, Jesus is Lord. I pray that You will continue to bless America, the Democrats, the Republicans, the Christians and the non-Christians who live in this country. I do not take these freedoms that You gave us for granted.

It is through Your begotten Son, Jesus Christ, that all of Americans can experience freedom in America. May You continue to use America to be a shining light around the world so that all can see, taste and know that only Jesus saves and is Lord of all of the earth. May Your glory and praise fill all of this earth this election season. I give You all of the glory, the honor and the praise.

    In Jesus’ name,
