love to write. I love to write for the Lord.
Since I was a small child, I have enjoyed writing. Writing has been my passion for many years.
~”And the Lord answered me: “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it.”~Habakkuk 2:2, ESV~
When I was in the fifth grade in elementary school, I would write about my classmates and make up stories regarding them. My fifth grade teacher took notice that I really enjoyed writing and always made a grade of, “A,” in this subject. As a result of my love for writing, I got the highest reading test grade in the entire elementary school and was presented with a gift card at the end of the school year. Even God knew then that He could use me to write for His Kingdom, which would take place years later.
My passion for writing continued on through high school. In one of my assignments for my tenth grade honors literature class, I wrote about how my mother introduced me to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and accompanied it with a picture of me, kneeling in prayer to my God, Jesus Christ, and singing worship songs for the Lord. My teacher, who was really impressed with this assignment, gave me a grade of, “A.” Even in this period of my life, God knew how He was going to use me to advance His Kingdom many years later.

When I got to my sophomore year of college, I switched majors many times and did not know what I wanted to do until one of my college friends introduced me to Mass Communication as a major. I knew that I enjoyed writing. In that moment, I switched and finalized my major to be Mass Communication.
I wrote many articles for the college newspaper and did freelance writing for about one year. A couple of years after I graduated, God planted a desire in my heart for me to write for a ministry. I did not know when that desire of my heart would be fulfilled, but I trusted God.
In 2017, I applied for a job to become the news editor for Atlanta Christian Voice. Little did I know that God would make me the news editor for this Christian news outlet. I applied and was interviewed. A couple of days later, the president of One Christian Voice contacted me and told me that I was hired for the job to be news editor for Atlanta Christian Voice. Praise the Lord for opening up this door for me to work there! I was not expecting to be chosen to be the news editor for Atlanta Christian Voice. I had plans to be just as writer. But, God had a better plan for my life in how He intended to use me to bring the people of Atlanta and beyond to Christ.
~”The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.”~Isaiah 40:8, ESV~
I thank God for opening up this door for me to work for Atlanta Christian Voice. I have written several Christian news articles over the past three years and it has been a very fruitful ministry thus far. God’s hand has really been upon this ministry! I can’t wait to see what God does years down the road!
