ave you ever made a wish? Was the wish a Christmas wish? Did it come true? Moreover, did it come to pass?
This scenario was definitely true for me this Christmas season as I pondered and reflected upon the Truths of the Lord Jesus Christ in my heart.
~”But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.”~Luke 2:19, KJV~
For one year, I waited: I patiently waited for my father to contact me. I had contacted him multiple times through text messages and phone calls and he did not answer them. Finally, on December 23, 2019, the Lord answered my prayer in the most unexpected way: my father called me.
I had contacted [my father] multiple times through text messages and phone calls and he did not answer them. Finally, on December 23, 2019, the Lord answered my prayer in the most unexpected way: my father called me.
A couple of days ago, I had a medical emergency come up and tried to call my father. He did not answer the phone. I told my sister about the medical episode and she reportedly told my father about what took place.
Shortly after my sister told my father about the medical emergency, he called me and seemed concerned. I was very grateful to hear from my father after one year of not hearing from him. At the same time, I was very grateful to my Abba Father for answering my prayer request: that I was hoping that my father would contact me.
~”For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba, Father!” The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs——heirs of God and fellows heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.”~Romans 8:15-17, ESV~
I am grateful that God answered my prayer for multiple reasons, especially during Christmas time. The main reason is so that the healing power of God can take place in our relationship. I am a firm believer in receiving the healing power of God, but that it takes time. Healing, for any relationship, takes time because the hands of God have to mend that relationship in order for trust to be built upon and for agape love to take the center of that relationship.
The main way for the healing power of God to take center of a relationship is to allow for the hands of God to heal that broken relationship, even if it takes time. This is because God only acts and answers prayer requests to those, such as myself, who patiently wait and pass the test of waiting.

~”From of old no one has heard or perceived by the ear, no eyes has seen a God besides you, who acts for those who wait for him.”~Isaiah 64:4, ESV~
One reason that I will always remember this Christmas is because my father made the conscious decision to contact me when he very well could not have contacted me. He could have done other things, such as tend to the needs of my other family members or simply ignore my text messages or phone calls. Overall, I praise the Lord from above that His Holy Spirit made a way for my father to contact me and that he deeply moved my father to contact me. This is clearly an act of God because it took a miracle of God for my father to choose to contact me.
~”The blessings of the Lord make rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.”~Proverbs 10:22, ESV~
Prayers take time to answer and they are answered as God sees fit in His timing and if it is in accordance to His will and plan for your life. Do not despair and do not give up hope! I am saying this because God had to teach me how to wait (as I explained earlier) and I passed the test of waiting even though it took one year for my father to contact me.
Please continue to pray for me and my father and our relationship and that the Holy Spirit of God will mend our relationship in His timing.
~”He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.”~Psalm 147: 3, KJV~
Merry Christmas everyone!! Grace, peace, and joy to all of you and God bless you!!
