You may have read this previous statement and thought to yourself, “Sarah: What do you mean when you say, “Be brave?” When I say to you to, “Be brave,” I mean to be brave in the Lord.
~” Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”~Joshua 1:9, NIV~
~”Into your hand I commit my spirit; you have redeemed me, O LORD, faithful God.”~Psalm 31:5, ESV~
I have been really fearful lately. Because of this Coronavirus that has been spreading, I have been taking precautions to be safe while trusting the Lord with my life as I surrender all of me to the Holy Spirit of God.
I have limited the number of times that I go out per day during the week so as to practice social distancing while meditating in the Bible, the unchanging Word of God. I only go to the store or anywhere IF I absolutely have to go to the store. Whenever I go to the store, I pray for God to protect me from sickness.
God is my Protector. I know that His angels are watching over me. I know that His Holy Spirit has fallen upon me during this hour, telling me, “Be brave,” in the Lord!
God is my Protector.
Besides praying more often lately, I have become more immersed in writing in my journal so as to make sure that I am still taking care of myself with self-care. I have begun a habit of singing to myself so as to encourage myself through singing worship songs that I listen to on my phone. Both of these forms of self-care strengthen me to press on each day as I commit my life to God with each passing day.
My faith in Jesus strengthens me. My love for God strengthens me to praise Him ever more. I thank God for not just my life, but for keeping my friends and family members safe in His care.
God is watching over me. He is watching over you. Jesus cares for you and has not forgotten you. I know this to be true. Do you?
I trust in God. I have faith in God. I believe in God. And it is into His hands that I commit all of me to the Lord as I trust in Him to protect me from sickness.
Do you trust in God? Do you have faith in God? Do you commit all of you to the Lord to protect you from sickness daily?
Do you praise the Lord? Do you thank God with every passing day? Have you trusted Jesus as your Lord and Savior? I know I have and stand in the confidence that I am covered and protected by the blood of the Lamb. Do you?
~”I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”~Philippians 4:13, KJV~
I can be brave. I will be brave. I can do all things because I am brave. Are you?
