Be Still, Trust God and Have Faith

May God bless America and may Godly peace be Her portion!

On Monday, I voted for the presidential election. While I do not feel led to discuss who I voted for, I have been fasting and praying for the outcome of this election and putting it in the hands of God.

~”And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”~Romans 8:28, NIV~

I watched a sermon from my church, First Baptist Church of Atlanta. Pastor Anthony George spoke words of encouragement over the Body of Christ.

Pastor George stated that it is a command from Scripture to pray for both Presidential candidates, the Democrats and the Republicans. I believe that Pastor George spoke these words over the Body of Christ to remind them that whoever is President of the United States of America that Jesus is King.

It is God’s choice to put who He has called and chosen to be the President of the United States and not man. This is one of the attributes of God that makes Him sovereign. God has a purpose and a plan for the United States of America and who was ordained by God to lead His people in these times that we are in, especially during this Coronavirus pandemic.

While I have been feeling really anxious about who will win this election, I trust God. My prayer for America is that all Americans will unite and trust God in who wins this election and that He will replace all anxiety that Americans feel with Godly peace.

My prayer for America is that all Americans will unite and trust God in who wins this election and that He will replace all anxiety that Americans feel with Godly peace.

~”Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”~Philippians 4:5-7, ESV~

God has a plan for America. Her destiny is in the palms of His hands. May God continue to bless America so that she can continue to be fruitful and multiply to the ends of the earth as His hand favors the next President of the United States. God bless America!
