A Prayer for Thanksgiving

Dear God,

I thank You for Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a gift from You to Your people. I pray that as Your people gather to celebrate Thanksgiving that they will remember reasons to be thankful. I pray that they will be thankful for having a home to live in, food to eat, clean clothes and other things that should not be taken for granted on this blessed holiday. I pray that all anger and bitterness will be put aside this Thanksgiving and that Your people will choose joy and to embrace joy and peace, in the Name of Jesus Christ. I bless the food that will be prepared by the preparers of the food this Thanksgiving. I give You all of the glory, the honor and the praise.

In Jesus’ Name,

Amen1
